Our Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who dreamed of being a princess. She loved all the Disney movies and memorized every song. She especially loved Belle from Beauty and the Beast. At the age of 3, she named her new kitten Jessica Belle, and wore a Belle dress and little Belle shoes everywhere she went.

As she grew, she continued to dance and sing and pretend to be a princess. As a young lady, she seriously studied voice, dance, and drama, and had the privilege to play the lead in several productions. But none of them were princesses.

Then one day, during her final year of high school, she learned that this year's production would be Beauty and the Beast. She held her breath and prayed they would cast her as Belle.

And like every good fairy tale, just days after her 18th birthday, she slipped on the yellow gown and glistening tiara, and became Belle.

And the dream lives on. Congratulations, Meg!

Thanks, Amy. I'm still crying. :) I told people Meg has been preparing for this role for 15 years. If someone would have told me then that someday she'd be Belle on stage in a beautiful production, I would have had a hard time believing it. My heart is so full of happiness for her, I think it will burst!
