Oh, this is wonderful! And so true, I remember when we first contemplated homeschooling and I worried that Luke would end up friendless and afraid to leave the house - even though we had a homeschooling family 4 doors down where the kids clearly thrived, AND my best friend from life had started homeschooling and told me about all her kids' adventures, and their good buddies.
In a complete change of subject, we have spent most of today building a big yellow bus (in our playroom) so we can zip off on Monday to your virtual field trip... the kids are SO excited! :-) Karen
My husband and I have three great kids who've been educated at home from the beginning. My oldest is on a full ride scholarship to the University of Chicago, my middle child is nearing the end of homeschooling, and my youngest has started public high school. I write about my homeschool philosophy--unschooling or interest-led learning--and our homeschooling adventure.

That is an awesome cartoon, and so true. I much prefer to be the fish associating with all sorts of other fishies.
I saw this a few months ago on an unschooling listserv. I LOVE it. I think he actually makes T-Shirts as well & I"m going to have to grab this one :)
Just had to laugh and then smile at the truth this portrays. Thanks for making my day.
